LOST CITY TREK
The Lost City Trek is an exciting trek, where there is no shortage of experiences and encounters with the indigenous people of the communities located along the way, while they carry out their daily activities, walking through the stone paths wrapped in the jungle that lead to Teyuna.
As a main activity the Lost City Trekking offers the trek to the Lost City (Teyuna), which is not easy at all, but it is worth making an effort to gain the heat, the mosquitoes and cross the rivers.
In addition, the route of the Lost City Trekking has altitudes that vary between 800 and 1300 meters, in the middle of the Colombian rainforest, one of the last sanctuaries of brightly colored biodiversity, where the current Kogui, Arhuaca and Wiwa Indians (all descendants of the Tayrona) are found, who continue to preserve their traditions.
We start our tour from the city of Santa Marta, a few kilometers from the Mamey or Machete Pelao, where we will arrive by Jeep 4×4 since most of the route is not paved, which is where the walk will begin.
